I’ve seen a lot of good suggestions about spots to fish, especially within Beaver Bend. Are there any quality maps available? As a newbie, it would help me process all of the info. I’m not talking about the cheesy gifs on the website, but a decent quality map.
Thanks! Joe

Both are excellent maps. I would liked to have had them when I was learning the river.

That's an awesome map and visual. I know my way and spots, now, but this would have been so useful years ago when I first visited! Good job:)

Man... these maps are the best. Thanks guys! I feel like I am always hitting the same three spots. Time to expand a little. Are there any detailed maps for Zone 2?

There's 3 main shoals or riffle/wadeable spots in Zone II. The first is right below the Old Park Dam. The second is a few hundred yards below that. The third is about a half mile downstream. When you're walking down the trail you can tell you've reached the second and third one by the increase in the sound of running water. Zone II is only fishable when they're NOT generating. Enjoy exploring!

Wonderful to hear. I’ve been down to the first spot a few times but have always wondered how far down it went. Is Zone 3 worth a look?

Zone 3 is not worth a look IMO, and from my experience, Zone 2 can often be the same. As others have noted there are a few runs in Zone 2 worth checking out, but can be consistently hit-or-miss for trout, but when it's on it can be an oasis.

The past two years have been much different down there, although there are still some good fish if you can reach them during lower water days. Zone 3 was fun 8 years ago, but it got too methy down there. It was a shame because it's really beautiful, although beyond snot slick if you don't have felt or studs. I haven't fished it the past few years, so perhaps it has been cleaned up. Zone 3 is the only place that I would feel worried about wading in places - it has some deep cuts.

Good tips all. I like the idea of hitting up Zone 2 in low water. Just feels more relaxed and less crowded down there. I have never been to zone 3 good to hear the warnings. The park is plenty for me.
