Just wondering but i’ve not seen or caught any browns in almost a year. Are they all gone or are they in some sort of hibernation? Moved to a different part of the river maybe? Last spring and summer i was catching nothing but browns and few rainbows. Now its the opposite.

You have to invest in a Brown Trout Caller. I believe Hankinsfly has then for sale on his website. Be careful, though. He may try to get you to join his cult.

Still a few around, but I'm not catching them like this time last year.

They are very easy to catch after a stocking of them then they do spread out and get harder to catch. I caught two pretty ones my last trip.

Pretty sure Jonbo is a poacher disguised as a fly fisher. He keeps a rope stinger and Rapala filet knife in his vest, and he consumes his weight in trophy brown trout every week.

They're still there. Some of them moved up to lower spillway, some down into that rock pile run, some at the head of CH. One day I saw someone catch two out of that slack water back channel at the Bluffs turn.
Brown trout are smart, so once they became conditioned a few weeks after being stocked, they became a little more technical to catch. One day I sight fished to one for 30 minutes, 5 flies later I finally got him to eat. Dude was rooting around in the mud looking for snacks.

Browns are notoriously harder to catch, they adapt to *wild* status easier and quicker. I have been catching 1-2 every trip. They have found a home up spillway too. Still a few around, but they have hidey holes and generally stay away from where stocker rainbows hang out

Yes, FlyAndStream, I was just the net guy. My guy I took out for Patriot Anglers caught him and he is a very good angler and actually a guide in Arkansas. Was a blast for sure.
