So I was accepted to medical school in Arkansas! Because I’m now a student here I’m allowed to get the annual fishing license rates for residents which means $16 to get my annual license and trout stamp! It’s safe to say I won’t have much time to get out there but hopefully I can get a break over winter to get on the white and Norfolk!

Congratulations! You're pretty close to the Beaver Lake tailwater just outside of Eureka Springs for a shorter jaunt, but within hailing distance of all the great spots on the White and Norfork.

I’m excited about the possibilities of striper close by in the Arkansas River and possibly getting on some monsters at beaver lake as well! Who knows maybe some trout if I make a weekend out of the beaver trip... as long as I get a free weekend that is

Oh and maybe sneak my 9wt to the beaver tailwater because I’ve heard rumors of striper getting down from the floods and gorging on all that protein in the river
