www.lmfrfoundation.org9/5/2019 Been a long time since our last update. Mostly because there hasn’t been a lot of news to report. The upcoming open board meeting will be held Saturday, October 5th, at Stevens Gap Pavilion. I will send out a group email as to specifics as we draw closer. The summer crowds are mostly gone and – at least after the upcoming Labor Day Holiday – the park should calm down again for quite a while. As usual, the best times to find a some stream time is during the week. There was a problem with the stocking contract again this year. However, that got resolved finally and after no additional fish for 4 stocking periods, stocking should have resumed last week. Since my phone has not blown up lately, I will assume that to be true. Per Aron Maib, park manager, the heavy equipment guys and the county road people will be back working on the rock piles in four to five weeks. We may even see a few changes to the river along with this. - Pat

Thanks for the update. I have two follow-up questions: 1. Will there be more fish stocked than usual to make up for the missed stocking runs? 2. Will the changes in the river be in the vicinity of the rock piles, or will they be using some of that rock to create changes in other sections?

Any updates? Interested in what changes may be made to the river. If work is going to be done to the rock pile, I wonder if cypress run will be reopened?

Any updates? Interested in what changes may be made to the river. If work is going to be done to the rock pile, I wonder if cypress run will be reopened? From what I heard there will be fishing on that side again In the meeting, it was discussed that the park would possibly help move this direction. It would be once the work is being done on the remaining rock pile, and then it might not be in the immediate work. Everything is subject to change, but it sounded promising that there could eventually be a return of a "Lost Creek" type scenario. Let's hope!!
