I am sure most of you have seen 'it all,' but I had to share this one. I thought this fish looked quite unusually 'fat'. Just the outline looked odd. Doesn't have that trout-shape in my mind. Not a ton of pressure where I caught this one, so I imagine this one eats plenty without a lot of interruption.

I've caught plenty of fish like that from LMF. Yes, they are oddly fat looking and they have what looks like shoulders. It's one of two things: a somewhat recently stocked fish that gorged on the nutrient rich hatchery pellets -or- it's an old holdover hatchery fish that learned to gorge like crazy whenever possible Here's a pic of one I grabbed from cold hole before the floods:

Sure is pretty! I think the chubby ones are hilarious! Earlier this year I somehow managed to land one that was super chubby with a deformed tail. Wasn't as nice and colorful as your catch though.

North Clear Creek specifically. Caught a few that looked normal also, but this one stood out. Nice colors I thought and has definitely been gorging.

Looks like some of our local tailwater fish in winter when lots of shad start flushing through the turbines -- buffet time for the trout!
