For this trip we decided to bring the dog (his first camping trip). That decision turned out to be a disaster more or less. To minimize some of the barking, we relocated the next morning to a site upstream and used it as a day-use area. Only two other small groups at BlackJack. Both days were abundant with sunshine and warmth and the mornings got down to the upper 30s.
The water was low and many spots that normally held quite a few fish were almost empty. I didn't fish too much but picked up a few on Stimi's, a Slim Shady dropper, BWO dries, and a pair of wet flies.
Tues afternoon we decided it was too much work with the dog and decided to head out Wednesday. Good decision, as a massive fire has developed near Ute Park and is at the doorstep of Cimarron. So far it's burned over 27,000 acres and is 0% contained. Prayers for the residents, fire fighters, wildlife, and for the beauty of the land.

At least your dog didn't get you in trouble with the Po-Po. Magick is a great dog and loyal companion, but he does bark too much if he isn't right where I am. He is good in the tent though.... he will be making the trek to Conejos with me July 4th.

Too bad about the dog. Used to take mine along everywhere when he was younger and as long as there wasn't much walking involved he was peaches.
What kinda dog??
