Just curious but wouldn't lake trout be able to live year round in the lake? It should be plenty cold enough. For that matter so could bows & browns. Be more for the conventional fishing guys but I've caught salmon trolling with a fly in Canada.
They could really get big in water that size. Just a thought.

Toss in Some Northern Pike and Muskies, too! I think the deeper parts would sustain, if there is enough nutrients available. One guy mentioned in another thread that there used to be Lakers in there, but they discontinued it.

My cousin suggested the same thing. Should very seriously reconsider it. Ok already has some pike up north. I can only imagine the draw a warm air, cold water fishery like this would be! Who needs to go north when you can do it in shorts!

From what I understand, lake trout were stocked in the lake years ago. This does not occur anymore, not sure why. Broken Bow Lake has been producing trophy size bass this year, several over the 10 lb mark. I agree it is a deep lake and I'd think that it could sustain lake trout.
