TRASH PICKUP DECEMBER 8th!!!
Hey everybody! Beavers Bend Fly Shop is going to be putting on a trash pickup on the Lower Mountain Fork river on Sunday, December 8th! We will be picking up trash along the trails and river banks so that we can insure this area and the river stay beautiful! The pickup will be from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Let's get as many people here as possible so we can give back to the river that has given us so much!

Anyway we might could do it the same weekend as trout camp? Not sure if I can make either but might get a larger crowd on that weekend. I know I cannot make it twice.

Hey Turfdawg, unfortunately the time that all of the guides could do it was that weekend do to other bookings. We hope whoever can make it will! I am sure it will work for some people and others not but I doubt we can get a weekend that would be great for everybody so we are sticking with this date!

Picked up a mile of monofilament at the spillway when we were there a month ago.

I might not be able to make it for the scheduled date, but I assure you that I pickup a lot of trash every time I'm there. I'm with breeden3, it's the least we can do for such a great place!

Good work! Every angler should pick up trash when they are out! It’s our job as outdoorsman to help keep the areas we love clean!
Hopefully some who can’t make it to trout camp can make the pick up. It will be a really good time hanging with the guides and other like minded individuals.

Irks me to no end to spot the shiny aluminum can on the bottom just deep enough to be out of reach. At least it is inert like the glass Uncle Josh jar near it but there it sits, a litterbugs' permanent installation in the river. And all the broken off mono and bobbers and lures left cast across the power lines by the bridge fishermen. Ugh! You guys are gonna stuff the bearproofs with trash in no time. I wonder what the most unusual trash find will be?
