My son and I are gonna make the drive up on Sunday. This will be our first time fishing the river in late fall/ early winter. We will be euro nymphing for the most part. Y’all have any suggestions on nymphs for this time of year??? Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, if only there were a recent report that had some patterns that worked mentioned. Course I'm kidding though, I can see where that wouldn't help as much with Euro specific stuff. I don't have alot of dedicated Euro patterns (don't really tie em either) but it seemed to me that darker flies w hotspots seem to work well. I like that blowtorch one alot, pat's did me good, RFSHN (not dark though), something with a little collar hackle I imagine would be successful. The shop has tung Frenchies in a few various sizes that work we'll, plus others like blk copper johns, very svelte (does that sound right?). I can't remember if any are on jigs or not though. Personally I'm not super concerned with that unless it's my bottom fly but I ain't an expert either. If y'all happen to find a net up there with a paracord thing attached to a magnet it's the one I lost.

For jig-style Euro nymphs, I have good luck with Frenchies, Tungsten Surveyors, and of course my favorites: Sexy Walt’s Worms and Mohawk Pheasant Tails. I really like the Frenchie variation called a Holographic Frenchie. That and the Mohawk are fairly dark-colored flies. The others are lighter but have hotspots that seem to trigger plenty of bites.

Hey Tex, you ever get my private message response to you regarding the Lil' Mo'? I sure did. We have been really busy with some of my sons Sr year activities so I haven’t been on for a bit.
