Yeah spots will need to be reserved in advance this time, which is complicated for a group with an unknown number of people. I did spend Tuesday night at Hickory and no one else was there, but it was a week day. Zone 3 and the campgrounds at Mountain Fork Park could be a flexible option for a group camp.

Can we call ourselves a church group and get the group camping spot;) My wife’s cousin and her husband are the camp hosts at GC#2. I have offered the last two years in a row to get Trout Camp into GC#2, and it has been shot down both times for one reason or another. I’m willing again this year to see if it’s available if the group is agreeable. JR

Can we call ourselves a church group and get the group camping spot;) If Jonbo agrees that he'll only fish dry flies at trout camp, we can quote Norman Maclean: “In our family, there was no clear line between religion and fly fishing. We lived at the junction of great trout rivers in western Montana, and our father was a Presbyterian minister and a fly fisherman who tied his own flies and taught others. He told us about Christ's disciples being fishermen, and we were left to assume, as my brother and I did, that all first-class fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fishermen and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman.”

Are nymphs unholy? What about egg patterns? I had no idea! Now I have to rethink everything.

Guys,
I am an Episcoal Priest. We could schedule a "Men's Retreat". The only problem is that I work on Sundays. I don't post here much, but check in daily. I have a couple guys in the parish who might be interested in joiningsuch an event. Being a good Anglican, whisky (spelling intentional) and cigars are appropriate.
And yes, nymph fishing is the work of the Devil.

Two years ago I arranged for the group camp but the idea was shot down. You might want to consider it again.

Are there any group camp dates available in March or April so we can hold camp? With respect to Eddie's untimely passing, I'd love to get up there, see people, and visit the fly shop.
