I heard there's no fish. Oh, yeah. That was me who said that, last time I got skunked.

Anyone think that for even one second that these new rules will actually be enforced in the park? Nah, didn't think so.

Of course people will obey the new limits... And they’ll start picking up all their trash, and they’ll start swimming in only the designated swimming area. I’m sure the wardens will actually get out of their vehicles and walk amongst the folks to ensure everyone is using barbless hooks and only keeping their lawful limits of trout.
And pigs can fly...

JR Just wondering why so many people say “swimming only in the designated area” The only two places that you can’t swim (or wade) are between the concrete ledge and gates and from powerhouse to old park dam

I think because there used to be signage in certain areas "Entry into water by anglers only", and then you had the designated swim area.

There used to be signage at the entry of evening hole saying that entry into the water for anything besides fishing was prohibited. A friend told me that last time (recently) that he fished there, he had to eep pushing tubers away from bumping into him. There used to be signage on the gate at the OPD saying that flotation devices were prohibited. I’ve seen people kayaking in there. JR

JR I remember those signs well because I even called about people swimming and was told that those were not rules or laws because everyone has the same right to the water. They took those down a few years back. Spillway Creek was deemed too dangerous for water craft and inflatables a couple years ago and now has signs. I have seen people still doing it but have also seen them getting told to stop. You can float or tube from cold hole bridge to power house though
