Fished upper Spillway this past Saturday and Sunday morning. Parked at Heart Attack Hill and walked downstream fishing as I went. On Saturday got there early and was the first in the parking lot. Nothing big but caught quite a few rainbows with a pheasant tail as the top fly and an RS2 as the bottom fly. Most takes were on the RS2 but a few on the pheasant tail.
Did the same thing Sunday morning and had the place mostly to myself till about 9:30 AM. Again, nothing big but quite a few rainbows.
Have fished there for many years but still learning. Had fun!
PS Tried to upload some pics but looks like the forum has exceeded the space limit.

Nice!
We were there too last weekend, with my wife and 2 y/o daughter. We also enjoyed fishing SC with the little rainbows all over Tachycardia. That was perfect to revive my wife's interest in fly-fishing, since she's had only a couple of tough outings in the past two years or so. The little guys were hitting a size 16-18 perdigon dropper every other cast. She caught a few on the dry as well. A 4.6 mm euro style CDC jig rolled in the deep and fast waters yielded a few nicer bows for me. Lot of fun fishing with our toddler in the backpack :-)
We were also very pleased to find the river uncrowded during our short sessions of fishing. Tantrums aside, a very pleasant trip!
