Eric,
I took hundreds on my 4wt fly rod last spring out of a creek flowing into a lake. My most productive day was 140 on the fly rod using a chartreuse and white clouser with red eyes and I took another 60 on my ultra light spinning rod tossing a zoom tiny fluke on a 1/32nd oz. jig head. Some of most fun fishing I enjoyed all year. Talk about wore out!

I also I have 4 WT that might be even more fun. What do you think? I wish I new where that creek is you are speaking of. You can always PM the location to me. GPS coordinates? Haha!

I think I enjoy the spring sand bass run as much as any kind of fishing. I do the same, clouser minnow, the action can be fantastic!
