I recently took a trip up to Arkansas on dry run creek it was AWESOME... i landed the biggest fish of my life. Sow bugs and any attractor style flies worked great. if your looking for a place to take your children to to have great time take them to Dry Run Creek. There is a local tailwater called the norfolk and the white river which the 16 and older people can fish. Thanks Eddie for telling me about Dry Run Creek!
31 inch fish

I was up there for 3 days, I saw him the first day and he looked like a shark on the bottom. I tried for him the 2nd day and he wouldn't budge, the guides were all talking about the fish and trying to get there clients on the fish. On the 3rd day I threw a big black schultzys red eye leech that I tied with out partridge. I thew it in the hole he was in and the water on top started to move and I flipped out and he was like a submarine, he hit it so hard I couldn't tell myself that he was on. Lucky I had my 7wt helios 2 so it was going to be a battle. The battle lasted a good 25-30 minutes of him bulk dogging me and we couldn't fit him in my fishpond net so my father grabbed him by the tail and put the fishes head in the net. We took him to shore and took a good pic and released him. After we caught him my arm was burning and I nedded a break so I went back to the car to get a drink and all and I wanted to make sure he was doing fine so I went back down to check on him and he was all good. I was just worried that he was too exhausted to keep in the current because those big fish use all of there energy on the fight. The message across is that I wanted him to keep living. Battle of a lifetime... Chaos

Congrats!! That is one incredible fish! A fish of a life time to be honest. Good choice on tackle and the rod. Awesome story--you should send that one to Orvis News for "trout bum of the week."
