I am thinking about taking a trip up there this summer, any known hotspots, techniques, gear recommendations or other advice would be appreciated.
Also any advice about RV parks in the area would be helpful.

I am going up to Estes Park in July...never been there but I will be fishing the Big Thompson River. I bought Flyfishers Guide to Colorado by Marty Bartholomew to help plan. Can't speak to RV set up as we are staying at the YMCA of the Rockies. Plenty of info on Google. Here is the latest Orvis fishing report. m.orvis.com/fishing_report.aspx?locationid=6101July has green drakes, red quills, caddis, stone flies, midges, and terrestrials in late July.

I am going at the end of August. Since my earlier post, my wife and I did some research and decided to go. I have reservations at Yogi Bear's Jellystone RV park and will be staying 9 nights. Mirvc17, make sure you post running reports in July, I will be watching for them

Here is a book I found helpful: Fly Fishing Rocky Mountain National Park by Todd Hosman If you're targeting Greenback Cutthroat trout, then read this too: Colorado Greenback Cutthroat Trout: A Fisherman's Guide by Jim Rubingh & Richard Fritz My trip was in Sep of 2011, so obviously it's dated info plus they had major flooding 2 or so years ago, but here is a link to the report/pictures I posted if you just want a basic idea of what is available: classicflyrodforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=49276&hilit=RMNP+and+northern+coThanks- Ken
