It was a great caddis hatch last night. My friend that just started fly fishing two weeks ago got in his first hatch bonanza last night. Swinging #14 green body Bird's Nests. The fish are all hybrid cutt/rainbows (cuttbows)not wanted in the river by the Fish & Game.

Nice. Sounds like you guys had fun. Do you have any pictures of the river that you could post? Idaho has been on the bucket list for a while now.

Sure, let me see what I can find. There are some posted last year in September when we shocked the river.

Slim - are they trying to eradicate rainbow strains and go back to Browns and Cutts only?

Yes, back to cutts but so many hybrids. Pure cuts are hard to find actually. I've never caught a brown in Teton. My friend caught a small brown two weeks ago however.

Nice pic from the backside of Grand Teton. You see pics from GTNP everywhere, but few venture to the Idaho side and get that view.
From what I hear the Browns are coming...... but maybe that is on a different section/area.

Yes, the west side of the Tetons is really nice.
Hope to see some Browns this fall.

Last night on the Teton. A cow moose browsing berry trees while we fished.
