...which means no more families filling up BB! Yay!
I'm very anxious to get back out to the river. I'll give them a few weeks to stock the river back up and let the fish calm down. Maybe I'll take a Wednesday and Thursday and head out there. I'm excited!

Families keep showing up in droves until Texas/OU weekend, then it dies down. Camping is definitely more accessible starting next week.

I'll probably first make it around the first of October. My wife has us camping at Parker Creek Campground at Lake Greeson, close by us here in Arkansas, over Labor Day. From there I'll hit the Little Missouri which is 10 minutes away. My next chance will be a month later, probably. I'll hit BB on a weekday, following my usual routine. I donno. At that time weekend fishing will probably be good, too. We'll see.

Alright guys, any fishing lately? I'm REALLY itching to get out there. I haven't seen any updates on the LMFR Foundation site regarding the construction of the stocking trails and gravel removal. I don't want to waste a trip because giant diggers are sloshing around in the river.

There is a lot more river than just what's under construction. Hit spillway or zone 3.

I must confess I've never been to Zone III. Zone II, yes. I love to wander around in the relative wilderness down there. Zone III, is that what they call the "Rereg Dam"? Is it good fishing? A fellow told me once that the Presptyterian Falls area used to be really good for big trout, but that was 10 years ago, or something.

Jonbo - yes zone III starts at rereg dam. As far as habit and available forage, zone III is the best spot on the entire river. The other side of that coin though is that water temps get a little warm during the summer and during the warmer months you'll be battling the canoe hatch. I can imagine there being some pigs around Presbyterian falls though, probably some big smallmouth too.
