About 3 years ago I fished/hiked from Spillway/dam to Cole Hold Bridge, before the floods. Would like to do it again, any feedback is welcomed? How difficult will it be? Any thoughts on best side to start on?
Thanks Bill

Well, it's a completely different creek now. The hiking's somewhat rough, depending on your agility. The really rough part is while fishing, accessing all the huge amount of pocket water formed by all the bare, sharp-ish bedrock that's now found throughout. Trails for going up and down stream are gradually forming. I imagine that you can stay on the near side and make your way all the way down the river to Cold Hole, but I'm not sure, having not tried it. Hope that helps.

Do not try it if you are not in decent shape. Going upstream is actually easier than going downstream in my opinion. The rocks all slant at crazy angles now. There really aren't any trails, just jagged bedrock jutting out of the ground. You definitely spend more time getting to a good spot these days.
Some spots are a 9 on the difficulty scale, most are 3-5, some flatter areas are pretty easy. Good knees, ankles, and back are must haves for this slog.
