Since we don't have a "Gear" sub-forum, maybe this counts for "Tactics." I've been in need of a larger duffle for a while since my (large, I believe) North Face Base Camp duffel isn't quite big enough for all of my fishing gear. Rod tubes can barely fit diagonally but it's very tight and annoying. Not wanting to spend the the money on another TNF duffel or the "gucci" Patagonia duffel, I found this William Joseph Typhoon for a terrific price (on a website I've mentioned recently). It's waterproof (not submersible) and has over 11,000 cubic inches of space. I can fit my Nomad mid-length net and rod tubes in no prob. Boots, waders, chest pack, no sweat. Orvis back pack could probably go in there too. Would i I put all of this in there and fly internationally (maybe even domestically)? Hell no. I can put a TSA lock on the zippers but that's too many eggs in one basket. Rods, reels, fly boxes stay with me... Anyway, it should be great for road trips. Attachments:

Cool duffel.
Something that I found works awesome for a fly bag is a softball or baseball bat bag. The length is perfect for rod tubes and they usually have a dedicated separate zippered pocket for a batting helmet - this fits a pair of wading boots perfectly. I've been using mine for a few years now and I absolutely love it.
