I was going to fish it but bought a net instead but from talking to a few I think it went well. I fished with the 2nd place gentleman in the morning and again in the afternoon. He told me the winner was a younger guy that had 31 points I believe. I think Phil said he won 2nd with 13 points so that was a pretty big jump.
I did not fish it but Evening Hole looked way better in my opinion.

So it is limited to Spillway Creek?
What fly did they use?

Mystery Fly was a March Brown. It was not limited to spillway. We fished from Spillway down to power house. I didn't hear of anyone fishing zone 3. Young man named Mat was the big winner. He pulled in over 8 while 25 ft from me at hickory hole. I heard him and his partner say that more than one was over 12.

I didn't come in last. LOL I had 2 fish, and my son beat me in points with one small bow and one that was between 12" and 14". He got lucky and was partnered with real nice young man from Dallas that does guide trips on the side. When all awards where handed out he came over and gave his sling back he won to my son. Then I gave my fly I picked out to my son. My luck might have been better if I hadn't taken a slight swim at 8 that morning in the riffle above the swim beach. I'm still walking and sitting gingerly from it. Today was a better day. We went to the bluffs and both caught several over 12" on dry's. I tied on a small white deer hair with grey thread head streamer with a small split shot about 8" in front and something hit it hard enough to snap my line on the third cast. A few guys (5) from Dallas area were there and and having good luck on bead head woolybuggers near the bottom. There are more trout between the bluffs and evening hole than I have seen in YEARS. ODWC has done a great job rebuilding that area. OH, on another note. During the LMFR Foundation meeting they(Park Rangers) said that the bridge could be replaced as soon as June if approved soon!!
