I am not really a float guy... I went with Dain in December and got really frustrated with the wading areas.

We tried to wade rim. We got there late, it was a little crowded and the bite was off. Plus there was a push of water coming and we didn't know exactly when it was gonna hit so we were nervous about wading to the island.

Yeah it can be a little spooky out there when a ton of water could be showing up at any time.

Jeff just needs to go fish with Nathaneal for a day or two. That's a river that's a lot of fun with a guide, but conditions need to be perfect to hit it right wading. I wouldn't want to rent a jet boat either the way it gets packed on that river. Had to cuss out a guy in a rental boat for low holing us.

Nathanael can fish, I can attest to that.

Hmmm, I may be "forced" to take a guided trip in November.

Due to the rain, expected water rise, and temps, in calling off the canoe/smallmouth trip on the Upper Illinois. Why doesn't it do this on a Tuesday? Gotta find something fun to do now.
