eBay works. But be careful what you buy and from who. Craigslist is another good resource if you live in an area with enough Craigslist traffic, and you’d get to see what you’re buying.

I’ve found some excellent hook sources on eBay.

Thanks for the suggestions. I may try selling it locally on Craigslist. I’m guessing I’ll need to set up an account to list it. Correct?

When I buy new I like to try and use the Fly shop.
Everyone knows I do a lot of trading of rods and other equipment and I mainly do it on Facebook on the Fly Fishing Gear Buy Sell and Trade group. I just traded Finny three Euro rods (one I had got from him earlier) for a new Cortland MK2.

I just traded Finny three Euro rods (one I had got from him earlier) for a new Cortland MK2. Last year was our first trip to Beaver’s Bend. The Fly Shop was our first stop for leaders and tippet. The big box sporting goods store in my area can’t even spell trout. Anyway, I bought a 10-1/2’ 3wt rod from Moonshine to euro nymph on our trip to LMFR last month. My daughter is expecting twins and was having some complications. We cancelled our trip and stayed close to home. It will be another year before we can try LMFR again and I’d like to get something (maybe fiberglass) I can use on the ponds and lakes in my area. The wife said “don’t sell it” but I’m not one to hang on to things just in case I might need it later.

Nav, look at a Redington Butter Stick. It’s glass. I have one but fished it only once.

You might not but I have a feeling you will loose your a$$ on that Moonshine. I tried to sell mine for over a month and even got down to $140 shipped and it ended going in that trade. I hope your daughter is doing OK. Being a grandparent is wonderful.

Thanks Turfdawg. Daughter is doing much better. She’s at 34 weeks. Wife and I went with them on their check up Friday. Got to see the 3D images. Very cool.
