ATTENTION everyone: conditions have been deemed too dangerous for wading with the increased flows out of the Spillway. Entering the river to fish is now PROHIBITED until flows are returned to normal. So for the time being no wading or boating. Beavers Bend State Park is NOT closed.

What have you understood about bank fishing? I saw several guys fishing spillway last weekend. Lots of bridge fishing too. It may help people understand what they can do at lmf.

Are there any updates? I’ve tried calling the fly shop for a couple of days. It has me thinking things are shut down.
This is my first trip in a year and I’m wondering if, between the rain and the flows if I should bail out on my plan for this coming weekend.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Fly shop has been closed due to very few fly fisherman in the park. Flows may still be high this weekend. I have not heard of a specific plan for reducing the spillway gate flows. check out the other threads for a website that gives up to date flow rates and lake levels. you might want to make a last minute decision.

Here is the latest..... flows will be back to normal Saturday morning. But the Park and COE still have to allow access, which is not a given.
