Love to hear about other folks fishing injuries.... I have had a few of my own. Most recent is a broken and dislocated pinky after falling into a waterfall plunge pool last weekend. BTW, I kept fishing for 4 more days and even caught a few 20+" Browns from the White River.
Dislocated pinky Broken Vertebra and fusion surgery torn meniscus torn ACL black widow spider bite and infection separated shoulder frostbite on ears
Let's hear about yours!

Jeez Jeff! And you still go out there?! I’ve been pretty lucky I guess, my list has been limited to one broken relationship.

On a Saturday in 2007, I was fishing about crotch deep in the 40 foot hole and lost my footing. I went down (not hard) on my left leg / knee. I felt pain in my shin area, but thought it was just a bruise.
I kept on fishing. After a period of time, I decided to move to a different spot, and when I got out onto dry land, there was red (bloody) water pouring out of a hole in my waders about six inches above my boot.
Still, I was not in much pain. The cold water had numbed it, I suppose. My waders were ruined for fishing, and the gash was not pouring blood, so I headed back to Plano, where I was living at the time.
It was only a couple of weeks before I was supposed to be in Houston for in-processing to go to Iraq. I was on a short break from working in Afghanistan. What better way to chill out than fly fishing at LMF, right?
Not the end of the story.... I didn’t go to the emergency room, not thinking that the wound was that bad, but come Monday, it was not healing. In fact, it was an oozing mess with fever in it.
I called my regular Dr to see if he would take a look at my leg. He got me right in and proceeded to chew my A$$ for not going to the ER. He gave me a steroid shot, a tetanus shot, mega doses of antibiotics, and some cream to smear on this draining gash.
By the time I went through the in-processing in Houston, my leg was looking pretty good, and the attending physicians said that I could go ahead and go to Baghdad.

Let’s see...
I hooked myself in the neck with a foam spider pattern that I didn’t pinch the barb on...went to a doc in Ruidoso to get it removed.
My wife has been mad at me a couple of times.....
Hurt feelings for many wasted days at Medicine Park (last trip there a week ago was terrific though with big fish caught).
A few banged shins....

Not an accident (plenty of those), but kidney stones on the high upper Pecos about 2 miles above camp ranks up at the top of my list for "fishing pain". Good clinic in Pecos (once you get there), but an ambulance ride to Santa Fe will probably be on the agenda.

Fell off a mini-cliff on Spillway Creek. Actually, I think I have a couple of times, now I think of it. Once I scratched my rod, the other time I tore a hole in my waders. I found out: 1) As you get older, you just don't have the agility you once had. 2) Felt soles ain't that good on dry rocks.

This is an intense list. My worst, was drinking a little too much and getting stuck in the mud in evening hole, this was before the flood, we decided to drink away our woes and then on the way back to our tent got stuck in the mud. Felt like quick sand. Shocking we made it out alive.
