I reaffirmed something I already knew and learned something new. People are stoopid and 10 ft falls is not as deep as I thought.

Oh, for the good old days when spillway creek and evening hole were designated for fishing ONLY, and the laws were at least partially enforced.
Next thing that will happen is someone will get entangled in monofilament line and drown, or bury a BARBED hook in their foot…
Oh, for the good old days…

That is not the local otter family! I’m trying to recall if there are signs about swimming not being allowed in Spillway, but can’t seem to picture any. In any case, it would be great if some of the parking fee money could go into adding extra signs at popular hangout spots such as 10ft falls…

I was told some time back, when I inquired about the stop logs, that ALL the money from parking fees had to be spent on park improvements such as bathroom upgrades and other infrastructure.
Maybe the definition of ‘park improvements’ should be edited.

Other than those places anyone can be in the water. There isn’t supposed to be any type of rafting on spillway creek
