Headed back to the San Juan in late September. Pretty sure it's the same "tiny cream or red" fly patterns. Or, I can run the net by my feet and catch some decent trout. Anybody recommend a good guide there so I can see something a bit different?

Sweet man I'm headed there next Sunday. I've never been, but we're fishing with Duranglers. I've heard a lot of good things about the San Juan angler, Animas Valley Anglers, and Fishheads as well.

We stay at Fishheads so we might try them out. Let me know how your guide works out. Have a great trip.

Got a good friend, that goes every year with dad/brother (over last 5-6 yrs) They also recommended Fishheads (owned by Chris Taylor)...highly recommended, his comment, "best guides on the river". www.fisheadsofthesanjuan.com/

Thanks for the note. Met Chris last fall. Will look into his availability. Much appreciated.
