I am starting back on the LMF on Wednesday. I am looking forward to seeing how the river is going to fish for late Fall, Winter, and Spring. I am also looking forward to seeing everyone on the river. If you see me, don't be a stranger.
Tight Lines,
Peter

Peter had to spend the whole summer in Colorado, again. How awful is that? Same boring stuff every day. Texan clients, some trout, and stuck in a small mountain town.
That being said, he did find time to get my wife into some trout on the Lake Fork and Cebolla. I guess it might not have been too bad
Welcome back to TX/OK

Quick plug here:
I just got back from the LMFR and fished with Peter. He took me and my son-in-law out to help us keep learning this thing called "fly fishing". Typically when the water is up, I somehow fool 1-5 fish into taking my fly. Those fish are at the bottom of their gene pool obviously and the others make fun of them upon their safe return to the water.
Well, as you know the water is down and conditions are poor, but Peter taught us many lessons, tips and a new casting technique. As for the fish, well it was banner day! I caught fish in every spot we tried (5 distinct areas, the way I count them). We caught holdover bows and maybe a holdover brown. I returned the next day and caught fish in 3 of those areas and had hook ups in 4 - ON MY OWN! And yes I tried different spots and rigs. How cool huh?!!! I won't be trying to get my guide license anytime soon, but what a great improvement. Simply satisfying...
If you struggle at all, need to learn a little or just want a world class fishing experience, this is the time to learn the most, when conditions are challenging.
Thanks Peter, Cody, Jenny, & Morgan for all the conversation and encouragement.
