Just thinking.....and that is dangerous by the way.
Why not have a couple of floating piers near the campgrounds near the restaurant for campers that want to launch lures or chunk bait?
Think about it, anchored with pipe so they can rise and fall as water levels rise and fall. Gives spin rods a lot more room to fish, thus takes pressure off the water that FF is left to fish. Spreads out anglers in a crowded river. Can easily make something like this and make it safe.
Another great idea?

"Why not have a couple of floating piers near the campgrounds near the restaurant for campers that want to launch lures or chunk bait? " There is a concrete pier there now, a few fishermen use it (but not enough to relieve any pressure.) But it does floor during generation periods.

Your tax dollars at work. Almost makes you think that if they can design and implement something smart like that it stands to reason they ought to be able to restore and re-create a trout stream habita....oh, right, perish the thought for despite optimism you have to remember the Corps giveth and the Corp taketh away. Again your tax dollars at work.

We are witnessing the longest bridge build in history. This is a two week project, tops.

Hey guys! Wow, that bridge is something else! It is super trout friendly for passage but yeah, I can't wait to hear all the stories of bridge jumping and lure launching from it. LOL!

Also, how it has taken this long is beyond my own understanding. It is incredible how long the government will drag their feet and this is an alternate route state highway!!!! Unbelievable! Hope the river and fishing are treating you well at the LMF!

One of the precast arch-beams was damaged when it was set in place and could not be used. To their defense, they had to wait until another beam was made and sent to the site before they could do much else. It’s still taking a long time though.

It's all being sub-contracted through the pentagon.... Well then, we can expect a small government take over after the bridge install then, right? LOL!
