One more reminder about this opportunity. Whether you tie flies or not, this will be an enjoyable and educational evening. If you don't learn something, I will pay for your ticket--oh wait--it's completely free!

Mr. McGee's presentation was excellent. I learned much in an hour and a half. This is like advanced soft-hackling. 4000 level soft-hackling. Definitely not tossing down and across and bird watching.

Stephen,
It was good to see you and I'm glad you enjoyed the presentation. It would have been nice to see twice as many people, but all we can do is schedule the event and make it known. There is nothing wrong with 32 trout fishermen showing up on a Tuesday night in a state with "no native trout"!
We always have a nationally-known speaker at the Feb meeting. It provides for an educational experience and allows us to put in a plug for our early March fundraising dinner/auction. There is a TU chapter in Tulsa too and it's great when people support their local organization, no matter where they live.
I've already starting going through the book I bought from Allen. A lot more patterns than the typical 2-material North Country Spiders!

Yes Ken,
There will be a Tulsa TU One Fly at LIR this Saturday.
1. To enter the Tournament, you must purchase at least one Mystery Fly for $5.00. You may purchase an additional Mystery Fly after everyone has received at least one. Additional Mystery Flies cannot be purchased after the tournament start time.
2. Mystery Fly to be revealed at 8:30am. Each fish must be caught using the Mystery Fly.
3. Each person will be issued a length of twine to record the length of the two (2) longest fish caught. You can only record two fish.
4. Each person will be responsible for keeping count of the number of fish caught on the Mystery Fly.
5. We are using the Honor Method of counting and measuring. This is mostly about having fun.
6. You must present the Mystery Fly when your tally is recorded. So, it's important that you don't lose the fly............
