Rather give them money than WM but don't want to have to go back to Broken Bow if they don't sell them
I tried searching, looking at ODW website and looking at fly shop home page

99.9% of the time. At times something might be wrong with their service but you don't have to go all the way back to Broken Bow. The gas stations in Houchatown has them and I think the visitors bureau in the park has them also.

You can also buy them online from the ODWC. I like doing that because I can reprint one if it happens to get wet.

I'm thinking they might not do licenses on a regular basis anymore, best thing would be to call and ask.

All the proceeds go to ODWC anyway, no matter where you buy the license. To save time, go to the ODWC website and purchase a license. As JOn pointed out, you can reprint it if (when) it gets wet. You can also have it on your phone to show anyone that might be interested (PoPo). www.wildlifedepartment.com/forget1/OnlineSales.aspx

Quick answer, yes, but really do not want to. Now the long part... They have been forced to start selling license again because the park office quit issuing them, leaving nobody in the park to provide the service. For the same reason the shop stopped, the park stopped. It takes too much time out of the day where Eddie and Roberta could be helping customers, but instead they were writing license, in turn, losing customers. The park, somehow thinks that they can send it back to the shop, and the shop would be happy to pick up the slack again. Only downside, is that they can end up selling 25-30 license a day, and get nothing from the whole deal. The state discourages fees to be added to the cost of the license, but in turn returns nothing in terms of recoupment of time. 25 license sold at 5-10 minutes a piece adds up to 2 hours 5 minutes, with no return and customers not helped. See the problem? It was great when the park provided the service since they are a state entity, leaving more time for the shop to help customers, and not neglect others while filling out license. Long story short, please do utilize the online license program through the ODWC website. Eddie and Roberta will be supplying a computer dedicated to filling out license in the case you do not heed the advice, but the license seeker will be filling out the information on their own while in the shop. All the while using the online licensing link.
P.S.: I understand the argument of "that is their business, they should provide the service." I agree whole heartedly they should provide license, however I absolutely disagree that this should be a free service. They lose time and customers, and all at the State's expense. They should be able to recoup some of the cost of doing the service for the state. Also, the argument that more people to come in for license the better for business and more revenue, is just false. Don't even start...
Sorry for the rant... Use the online service, or expect to use the online service at the shop, on the shop provided computer. Now go catch some trout!

Apparently the state charges $3 extra to purchase online. Too bad the fly shop can't at least do that.

I figured the shop got “something “ for their trouble, think Texas license vendors get a small fee for each one they sell The nice lady in the shop fixed us right up and we bought some more stuff while we were there ;)b
