On the "LMFR Stream Flows" page on the main page of this forum, there's a link to an hourly updated table (the link's at the bottom of the page of charts). On this table, for days the "Release" has been listed at 138 cfs. I have taken this to mean that that's the Spillway release as others have confirmed that 138 cfs is what they've been releasing lately. However, since late last night the Release column has read "-901". This is the same number as is in the Inflow column. What concerns me is whether this indicates that they've stopped the water flowing from the Spillway again. Does anyone know anything more about this? Thanks.

That is the null response (-901). No data recorded.

Aah! Thanks Jeff. I may get to fish tomorrow and was worried. So far, so good, both with work issues and river conditions. Fingers crossed no emergencies come in before tomorrow. If all goes well I'm thinking caddis pupae, MB emergers, zebra-type midges, of course, and different mayfly larvae patterns if I need to fish deep.

jonbo I’ll be up there fishing in about an hour, and will get you some pictures of water level and clarity.

Big wet fly. I'd say like a pheasant tail nymph with a hungarian partridge hackle. I don't bother putting wings on. I don't know if I should. My caddis pupae or emergers, I use the Gary LaFontaine style with an antron-material-like sparkly bubble. They work pretty well, too. Some I put a bunch of black strands in. I don't know why, but they seem to work. The emergers/wet flies/soft hackles, whatever you want to call them, I immediately try those when I see the fish start messing around near the surface and bugs seem to be starting to come off. I like them because they appeal to my laziness. I cast them at maybe 20% downstream from parallel, let them swing in the current until they are straight downstream. At that point I may pump them a few times, retrieve, let line out, fool around in general, and often get a hit. The hits tend to be hard and the fish hook themselves. I don't really have to concentrate watching a bobber or dry fly. As I said, it appeals to my basic laziness.

River flow and clarity today was perfect. The bite seem to be about as good as it’s ever been. Fished evening hole from noon until 7 PM, probably caught 40 fish, 16 over 18”, and one measured in at 22 inches. I’ll post a fishing report later. jonbo you should do really well tomorrow.

Sounds way better than what I was in yesterday. Water was a bit stained when I arrived about 11am. The fish were really biting until a little before 2 when the water turned to mudd (working on the bridge). After that it really slowed down after it cleared up to stained again.

Just an FYI. Drove down to fish today and found the spillway releasing close to 850 CFS. Rumor has it this flow will continue another 4 or 5 days. Work being done at the powerhouse is what I heard.

Aah, it was mediocre compared to yours. I caught about 7 fish in 9 hours, mostly on Pat's Rubberlegs. All recent stockers and right on the bottom. I didn't make a post because I wasn't too excited.
