Hey guys, this winter try Tyler State Park In Tyler Texas, each December over 8,000 trout are stocked there. Bag limit of 5 per day. They can be caught till mid April. Although they prefer corn, they will take flies. I caught some on a BB special, olive 16.

Stephen, I haven't tried Tyler State Park, yet. I have been over to Woldert and Faulkner. Have had some success in each. TSP is scheduled to receive 3,830 ; Woldert 1,344; and Faulkner 2,100. I Have also been over to Penick in White Oak. It is small, can cast an ultra-lite from bank to bank. Elder Lake in Kilgore has always been good and is stocked in early December with 3,000. I will have to admit that Teague Park in Longview is my favorite ( 5 minutes from office so can slip out for lunch time ). To be stocked in February with 2,600. Easy to walk around and cast with a fly, plenty of room for back cast. Woldert and Penick are the same. I have photos from last winter of catching trout at Teague with snow on the ground. It was a fun time.
