Decided to change things up a bit with fishing and headed to Pine Creek Lake, 30 minutes west of Broken Bow. Looking to catch a few fish for a fish fry and this lake does not disappoint. The lake is fairly shallow, with plenty of standing timber. I brought my canoe and worked a few areas, using a 1/80 oz. marabou micro jig and woolly buggers with my 5 weight 9' fly rod. I enjoy an occasional fish fry, and really prefer a white fish over trout any day. That catfish put up a great fight. Released a few more undersized bluegill. Most of my fishing is CPR, but occasionally I enjoy a fish fry.
