I do a lot of streamer fishing for smallmouth, but have no real experience throwing them at trout. For smallies I use 2 1/2 to 3 feet of 15 LB flouro tipped with roughly the same length of 6 or 8 lb on a 6# sink tip (smallmouth generally aren't overly line shy). What leader/tippet would you guys "in the know" suggest for Spillway Creek? Thanks in advance for any advice. Dan-o

Dan, I was using 9' leader and about 5' tippet both 4X this week with streamers and #12 dry flies and did okay.

I prefer a sinktip versileader and about 3 feet of 1-3X fluoro. Smaller streamers you can go smaller on the tippet.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Gonna see if I can find a cabin down there next weekend and I'm hoping to check out Spillway Creek for the 1st time since the flood. I could be wrong, but it looks like it might be some good streamer water these days. Thanks again! Dan-o
