Anyone have a guide on broken bow lake that they would recommend fro walleye fishing? We had a rep from one of our preferred vendors in the office this week that's a Minnesota transplant, and was going on about how much she loved to walleye fish and didn't think there was walleye fishing in this part of the country. Anyways, to make a long story short, my boss has tasked me with finding a guide service that could put us into some walleye. I've done a little bit of research and there are several guide services on broken bow lake, but from the sounds of it, it's a seasonal bite (spring I'm assuming), so there aren't any guides that specialize in walleye necessarily. Just wanted to put this out there and see if there was any particular guide service that anyone on this board had experience with or could recommend personally?

Get ahold of Denny (Dlinzy) from this board..... he fishes for walleye at the Powerhouse. Does pretty well sometimes.
Not sure if Peter or BBFS guide for walleye. If they do not, I know of a guide that does.
One thing we definitely do not have - Ice fishing for walleye. My brother just got back from Duluth, MN and the coves are filled with ice huts walleye fishing.

Thanks for the info Jeff. Is the guide that you're thinking of a guide on the LMF or on Broken Bow Lake? I was thinking ideally that we'd get a guide with a boat that could possibly accommodate 5-6 people and I'm sure spin fishing rather than fly fishing. I'm sure I could "guide" some people down to the powerhouse, but not sure how this group would feel about wading out into the middle of the river with me lol. Plus my experience has been that the powerhouse is hit or miss as far as the walleye bite is concerned

Realize that it maybe be too late but I'd recommend Doug Storey Guide Service for fishing Broken Bow Lake. He doesn't fly fish the river or compete with fly shop guides (so no conflict here). He has 25 years guiding on Broken Bow Lake. I've set up fishing trips for customer visits and have got nothing but positive reports. For the number of people you are suggesting, he would get another local guide or two to make sure there is enough room on the boats. Actually when the Outdoor Channel comes to town, they use his services. You can reach him at 1.580.306.0522.

Yeah, Doug is the guy i'd use too. My method of fishing for them isn't for the faint of heart and all my fish have been washed out to sea.
