My uncle, dad, and I are going to be down Saturday for a day trip and I'd love to get to meet some people from the board and put a face to some of the names on here.
I'd also really like someone to show me how to actually hook my first fish on a nymph rig lol.
Anyone down to meetup Saturday? We can exchange numbers or whatever we you wanna do.
Let me know!

Semicole, the waters should abound with members from the forum on Saturday. It's the day of the Mystery Fly Tourney. I'll be there with waders on. Would have bells but they don't jingle underwater. LOL

LOL Awh sh*t I completely forgot about that. Do you think it would be worth going still? I imagine it's going to be packed to the brim, but idk maybe not more so than any other day.

Come and enjoy the fun. I bet it's going to be a good laugh just watching me catch the trees, shrubs, myself and maybe with luck a fish. Think of it as a big meet and greet. I'm sure lots of us will be back on the water after the tourney.

Semicole - go up there and register and support the LMFRF. There will probably be about 50 members at the check in and then they will disperse to get to the fishing. IT will be as packed as a normal good weather winter Saturday. If you want to meet people and learn to fish the LMF, there may not be a better time to do it. I am almost certain 100% of the foundation members would be helpful if you ask for some tips.
Hooking a fish on a nymph rig is pretty likely if you get the setup correct.

How do I register and how much is it? Have a wedding coming up end of March and my fiance said she'd shoot me if I spent any money on this trip haha.

$30 or $35 for the LMFR foundation. The tournament is $75. If money is an issue, sign up for the foundation and skip the tournament this year. The members will likely be hitting the river after the tournament and I am sure they will give advice if you ask.

Bill, Don't forget those killer Camo Costa's. Uhhhh, kinda bad news on the Costas. They are back at Costa with the left lens missing. Don't want to talk about it lol. I sure wish they would hurry. They have missed my last couple of trips.
