I am wanting to fish for trout but am saving up money for a 5wt rod. I bass fish with a 7/8 but would feel stupid coming up there to fish with such a big set up. Until I can get something smaller, is there a place close to fish for bass? I need to fish from bank or wade. Thank you for your responses.

I'm sure there are plenty of places to bank fish on the lake, but don't let the lack of a "proper" fly rod keep you from trout fishing. Although I usually fish with my 5 wt I wouldn't think twice about going with my 9 wt if the 5 wasn't available! You will enjoy it just as much and no one will mind. Just go and have fun!

How much money do you want to spend? Let me be the first to recommend you buy from Beavers Bend Fly Shop. I'm not sure exactly what they have for rods and reels but I am sure they have a range of prices and rod/reel combos.

Ya they carry a bit of TFO rods and reels if I remember correctly and maybe Reddington which are both really nice rods for not that much money
