They have 8 hours of generation scheduled today. As long as the powerhouse is in operation, they can bleed the lake. 150CFS is perfect for the river too. Zone II and III won't be much fun if gen keeps going.

ON the other hand, a nice 500-1000 CFS flow for a few days would be interesting. Just not another 25,000 CFS flow

I’m with you golferjeff, would be good to have an annual “simulated” prespring/spring 1,000cfs runoff. Could be fun.

Here's what I would do if I were king of Beaver's Bend. I' d take 2 full semi-truck loads of mixed gravel to the top of Spillway Creek. I'd deposit one on each side of the stream. Then I'd turn the flow up to about 2000 fps (or something. Just a guess). I'd take 'dozers and push all that gravel into the stream flow. I'd let it run for a certain length of time, donno how long. Then I'd check the pools and pockets to see how the gravel had distributed out. I'd repeat the process as many times as necessary until the endlessly deep pools and pockets that go way way down into creases in the bedrock got filled in until they were more like a normal mountain stream than the wierd extreme pocket water interspersed with gigantic pools the way it is now. That is, if I were king of Beaver's Bend. Because, I can't really figure out how to fish it now, and if I were king, that's what would be most important.
Maybe "we" (royal) could get that gravel out of the giant rock pile. I donno, just a thought.

I know this link is somewhere in here but anyway for those of you who want to see what the lake level is at and what the release rate is as time passes you'd click on it now and later: www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/BROK.lakepage.htmlWith all the rain let's hope "they" don't decide that now is a good time to shut down power generation to do some turbine maintenance.

It shows top of flood pool at 627’ and shows 604’ at 6 this morning so maybe it will hold everything fine and they might up the flow.
Man can dream

Not a good start to be above the flood pool in February... However, it's not like the place can get any worse sadly.

I no longer have a link to the web page that indicates power generation dates and times and how many of the station's gates are open or how much so I can't tell what's going on with the power station. I suppose you'd listen for the horn as your cue that they are releasing some down there.

Man I sure wished someone would hit below Swim Beach bridge with some clausers, there's some of the biggest hardest fighting sand bass you'll ever catch there now.
Go! Go! Go! I promise you'll see your backing in seconds...

I wish I could do that for you. Alas! I have to go to a benefit in a little while. If my daughter didn't have me by my nose-ring, I'd surely blow it off.
