Sure am bringing the tying stuff, but haven't quite thought through the logistics of where or anything... I thought more people were gonna tie some???

Due to all the moisture I chose not to bring my tying stuff. But y’all should, I’ll hang out and watch and smoke a few cigars 🙂

If I can locate the portable vise stand I put together several years ago I'll bring my tying gear, too. I think it might be in the pile of junk (I mean organized stack of good stuff) behind my tying desk.

Might be a nice way to get out of the rain for an hour or two. I think early in the afternoon on Saturday or Sunday would be good, or else just after dark on Saturday ... which is pretty darn early these days.

Cigars - Jeff has about 30 of them and will bring them all. That will be my contribution to Trout Camp.
Friday night looks awful rain and cold wise. I am definitely leaning towards coming up Saturday early morning.
Hankins - you better not catch all the day use fish!!!! Hopefully we can all explore a bit more.

I'll stay at camp and stand guard over the booze while you guys are tying.

Just sprayed my jacket with water repellant. Where's that dang checklist? I am exclusively fishing "wet flies". Bwahahahha. Get it? With all the rain, "wet flies". Geez, I crack myself up.

So I forgot the trout camp sign and my wading boots. Roberta fixed me up with the boots, but the sign is SOL in OKC. Also, there is no crapper in Elm. Closest one is the nice facility in Fern. Y’all ok with having to walk a short ways for the restroom?

Are you in the corner right next to Fern 1 and 2 (or something like that) on the river?

Hank, where is the camp located from EH bridge ?

Slim, it's in the first campground loop downstream from EH Bridge. That loop is between the bridge and the Fly Shop. Hickory is on it, and Fern. Elm is the furthest one downstream, toward the Fly Shop. (That's right, no?)

Jonbo, yes, in one of the last Elm campgrounds where the road bends around into Fern. Slim- first left turn when leaving from the Fly shop when going to eh

Well folks, as much as I hate to be THAT guy I think I'm gonna hold off camping for a later date. My original hope was that we could endure a wet Fri/Friday night, and then enjoy some better weather and campfire time Sat afternoon/Sat night. Forecast is now showing rain and cold temps through Saturday night. If something changes I MIGHT drive down Saturday morning and get a cheap room nearby, but in all likelihood I'll just drive down for a day of fishing on Sunday (if road conditions between Ft. Smith and LMF will allow). As things are now, there's just not enough bang for the buck when I consider time spent putting up (and taking down) tents, tarps, and canopies while huddling out of the rain verses time spent fishing (and drinking in front of a nice campfire). I guess I'm getting a little soft in my old age LOL. Peace Out. Dan-o

Well gang, I’m sorry to say this cold has gotten the best of me. Coffee and Mucinex kept me fishing today, but I’m calling it quits. Sorry I’m having to bail, but I need to go home and get in bed.

Folks, I'm out too, then. At least for camping. It's too hard to do with the predicted weather and pulling my camper. Heavy rain, 100%! I may show up on Saturday and fish, but I'm going to play that by ear. Sorry!

So I’ll be there by myself? Smallfry, Gui are you two still in? Looks like I’ll be fishing or sitting in the bed bug inn. Maybe I’ll get to fish quite a bit Friday and Sunday and see how Saturday goes. Don’t think I’ll be bringing but a couple of rods
